At the beginning of 2019, we created three facsimiles of documents for the town of Fulnek. All three documents are related to the former Augustinian monastery and the originals are stored in the Land Archive in Opava. We also created a model of the land register and the register of income and expenditure. The originals are stored in the State District Archive in Nový Jičín. Take a look at the photo gallery and see how successful we were.
„The Mayor and the Town Council of Fulnek admit that they agreed with the provost Nicholas and with the Fulnek monastery that the monastery subordinates and the provosts court in Fulnek are to be exempt from all town levies, in return, the monastery will provide free burials in the town with crosses and singing; up to now the monastery had a salary of 1 talent in the town, and the monastery will receive 3 and a half vědruňk (Medieval currency) per year from this salary, namely 28 gr on the St. John’s Day and 28 gr on the St. Wenceslas Day; the monastery may use the meadows opposite Děrný that were sold for grazing and divided into 8 gardens for the use of the town, as grazing for all its cattle from both its courts, if the cattle is driven together with the cattle from the town by a town sheperd.“ Photography: Jan Krásl
